other languages. Our goal is to give you basic information on how to come to
the United States for a short stay or for employment, and what is involved in
applying for permanent residency ("greencard") or U.S. Citizenship. Visit our Visas

visa page contains information on who is eligible, length of the visa, how to
apply, and limitations if any. Our “Greencards” section will provide you with
information on the different ways under current immigration law to obtain
permanent residency ("green card"). There are four categories:
Family-sponsored immigrants, Employment-based immigrants; Diversity
Immigrants ("green card lottery"), and Asylees, Refugees and
